While performing on cruise ships Nikki travelled northern and central Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and then returned to Israel performing in a variety of dance styles for television and theatre. Now twenty-one years old, she took on a teaching job, unaware then that this was the beginning of an enduring passion. Her love for choreography and teaching children took her all over Israel teaching at various dance academies, and brought her a top prize at a national choreographic competition.

After several years of teaching in Israel Nikki returned to England and set up Street Dance classes in Hertfordshire. In 2003 she was awarded support from the Prince’s Trust enabling her to create Aviv Dance Studios, a dance centre in Watford. With two schools, in Watford and Harpenden, Aviv also became known for their adult dance classes and spectacular annual dance shows at the Radlett Centre. Nikki and a strong team of teachers and choreographers offered a variety of classes including Commercial Street Dance, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, Jazz, Ballet and Tap. Nikki also founded and directed a non-profit performing company that danced at local charity and community events, helping raise awareness for various causes. After eleven years as the owner and Director of Aviv Dance Studios, Nikki in 2013 stepped down from this role in order to spend more time with her children and to pursue her new career as a Pilates instructor. Aviv Dance Studios continues today under new management.

Following an unexpectedly long recovery period after the birth of her twins in 2005, Nikki took up Pilates to help her recover from a severe diastasis recti (a splitting of the adominal wall). This finally got her back into the dance studio, avoiding major abdominal surgery. Some years later with a growing interest in body conditioning and injury prevention she began studying Anatomy and Physiology and went on in 2011 to qualify in STOTT™ Pilates instruction. In September 2013 Nikki launched her new fully equipped studio, Encore Pilates, in Kings Langley.

Nikki’s passion and dedication for correct exercise, women’s health, rehabilitation and sports performance inspires her to stay fully informed in the continually evolving world of physical therapy and bio-mechanics. Courses and workshops Nikki has completed include Pre- and Post-Natal, Fascial Release, Spinal Pathologies and Pelvic Floor Dysfunction. In general her classes have a strong emphasis on technique, giving clients good anatomical awareness and instruction on mind-body connection, strength building, lengthening and stretching, core engagement, alignment, postural correction and fitness.

Clients from the semi-/professional sporting world include footballers, cricketers, golfers, dancers and young gymnasts.

Nikki is experienced in conditions such as arthritis, osteoporosis, hip/knee replacements, spinal disc herniation, spondylosis/litis/lolisthesis, hyper-mobility syndrome, EDS, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis and various conditions brought on by pregnancy. Nikki receives patient referrals from local GPs, Osteopaths and Physiotherapists.
